"One of our key priorities
in our organization is to create a space for innovation, allowing
our staff to focus their energies on the NEW instead of the
USUAL." - Ashok Pavate, Chairman
At Semac, we're willing to go the distance for the idea that
inspires our success: innovation.
In doing so, we are building an open corporate information
structure that allows all our branches to access all the information
and resources of Semac and its networks. This is a high-priority
process called e-Enabling.
Through this process, we are pursuing complementary initiatives
to ensure that all of our people and processes have access
to the full power of the Internet, as well as the skills,
tools, and networks to use that power. Specialized multifunctional
teams are driving this process, identifying Semac's best practices,
incorporating them into standard platforms, and executing
them throughout the organisation.
IT is extending our reach
We have long since demonstrated our ability to use Information
Technology as a driving force in streamlining and making our
operations more efficient. But we know that what we have accomplished
in the past barely scratches the surface of what we can and
must do in the future. This is the challenge and promise of
our e-teams.
Semac will leverage IT assets and skills into profitable new
businesses. They will help transform Semac by extending its
reach into areas that complement and add to its core business,
investing in and attracting the best people, capitalizing
on and extending our technology, and transforming good ideas
into profitable businesses.
Innovation
Innovative practices and new technology maximize our awareness
of environmental quality and economic success. We are constantly
striving to improve on past performance by adapting to new
and innovative materials and technology. This quest for improvement
drives us to improve our project control and management systems.
Our customers gain directly by our new management systems,
which can result in considerable cost benefits in materials
as well as in time to completion. |
